Helsinki Security Forum 2026 Report
In 2026, security can no longer be viewed through old assumptions. In the age of exponentially galloping technological disruption, rapidly advancing climate change, the alarming decline in biodiversity, and the overall deterioration of the global security situation, we must look at security with a fresh pair of eyes.
As old certainties lose their validity, new solutions are needed. Instead of one-stop solutions, the title of this year’s conference, Layers of security, invites us to think about new ways and levels of generating security.
Helsinki Security Forum 2026 explores the new security setting and the future of Europe in a rapidly changing and increasingly turbulent world. The new strategic era challenges Europe, and Finland, to step up its agency in a world defined by uncertainty and competition.
